Fox slashes OJ interview from schedule

    I'm surprised you haven't suggested this whole episode was concocted just to make Bill look good. ;)

    I'm amazed by the 'Good for Murdoch' cheers.

    The book was killed because a)the booksellers didn't want to carry it (after being duped into taking it on a blind buy), b)you can't recoup a $3.5 million advance if you can't get anyone to actually sell the book, c)dozens of Fox affiliates were refusing to carry the interview, d) Reganbooks is just a small part of a very big publishing company, where lots of HarperCollins executives were understandably horrified and furious over what this would do to their own corporate images.

    If NewsCorp thought they could sell 300,000 copies of the book, this would still be a go.
