Fox out of BCS bidding war

And the night game was at Florida State -- which, like FAMU, is in Tallahassee.


They used to go to the best game regardless... not occasionally.

 

So this will be Fox's last year calling the BCS title game then. If I recall correctly, ABC gets the national championship game the year that the Rose Bowl hosts it, which will be next season.

I hope they can bring Keith Jackson back for at least a cameo. His retirement was a sad day.

So now that it looks like the BCS will be on ESPN, will there be gnashing of teeth and wringing of hands over the fact that it won't be on over-the-air TV, or are we finally past that?

 

I hope Keith Jackson never comes back. It is sad to hear him as a shell of himself.

 

True dat... he should have stayed retired the first time, as much as he is the voice of college football. Of course, his heir apparent -- Verne Lundquist -- is having his senior moments too..
