Fox News: UCLA approves a 32 percent rate hike in undergrad fees.

    I graduated from a small private school 20 years ago and at the time tuition was a little less than what it costs to go to Ohio State today. My alma mater now costs a cool $40,000 a year.

    I'd be interested to know if public education costs have gone up that much by percentage over the same time.

    So far, farthest back I've found for OSU was 1994, when it was just over $2,900

    I guess this means the notion that school is a relatively safe place to be right now, just took a hit.

    The UC Merced students have got to be ticked.
