Yeah, I was going to say... Given how the last four years have gone for Alabama, even the most rampant fan has to be able to laugh this thing off... :D

No. If you're going there, this "benefit" is theoretically available to all students.

Calloway has been a PITA all the way back to his recruitment. Even with him projected to start, I'd be fine with him suddenly deciding he's always wanted to be an UNA Lion.

That was a joke (hence the blue font), mostly in response to qt's take on the hackneyed Kentucky/Cleveland State premise.

As it relates to football, losing these guys isn't really going to keep the Bama machine from chugging along. Still, each of them made his mark in his own special way in his short time in Tuscaloosa.

    • Pettway will go down as the guy who suplexed the Mizzou running back.

    • Calloway will always be famous for flipping to Auburn and then back to Alabama.

    • Hayes will be remembered as the guy who jumped offsides on 4th-and-1 on a punt late in the Texas A&M loss, giving the Aggies a first down and the opportunity to run out the clock.

    • And Williams will get a certain amount of notoriety for being a 5-star recruit who never played a down at his original school. Very few guys can say that. Even Fred Rouse and Bryce Brown got into a few games before leaving town.
