Former players sue NFL for negligence regarding concussions

Jim McMahon is the biggest name on the list. I'm going to have to find a better version of this story, though. This one says that Joe Thomas left the Browns in 2010, which is kinda funny since he is still on the roster.

That said, there is also apparently another lawsuit out there charging that the NFL knew the harmful effects of concussions, but concealed them from players until June 2010. Not sure how we are supposed to believe there were guys playing in early 2010 and not knowing how dangerous concussions are, unless those guys didn't have much in the way of brain power to protect in the first place.

The article is flawed, but the lawsuit isn't. The NFL has a shameful history when it comes to failing to protect the long-term health of its players. Forget the steroids. This is the real issue the league should be forced to take some accountability for.
