Under investigation for "inappropriate touching" of students at the Michigan school where he had been working as a substitute teacher and volunteer strength & conditioning coach and is/was to be the football coach this fall:

Wasn't Curtis really outspoken about his religion during his playing career?

I am guessing why he left North Pointe Christian is question #1.

He was pretty religious, from what I remember. And he had a well-publicized tiff with Jeter (Hi Manky!) in '99 because during a brawl with the Yankees and Mariners, Jeter and A-Rod (then a Mariner) were joking around and Curtis took exception to it and argued with Jetes in the dugout.

Yea - in Clevland he pissed everyone off by turning off rap music in the club house.

Yeah, but in his defense, rap music was much different then. It was all thug shit. Now, it's more about spending obscene amounts of money, partying, and having a goddamn good time.

    What?

I'm just saying, people shouldn't compare rap music of 2012 to the rap music of the elate '90's.

It was much more offensive back then, so I could see why Curtis might want it turned off. Now, it's much more of a celebration of a lifestyle. Sure, they still use some offensive language from time to time, but it's not about a thug lifestyle, or demeaning women, like it used to be.

If a player were to turn off rap music in a clubhouse now, it's likely because he's small minded, and doesn't understand it as the art form it is.

Well said YF. In 2012 Rap music is more inspirational
and probably a valuable addition to a clubhouse as a motivational tool.
