    Sorry if this is a d_b, but I really don't have time to look for it.

    Castillo was subjected to a patdown after she opted not to walk through the body scanner.

    Another question to be begged: If as a country we're willing to accept sexual harassment in security screenings, why would we not accept ethnic profiling?

    At this point I think it's pretty clear that TSA is making these "pat downs" as invasive as possible to punish people for not going through the body scanners that don't work.

    And novelist, we can't use profiling because it might offend somebody...

    I originally asked why she wouldn't go through the scanner, but then I read a report calling them a video strip search, and I understood.

    Who was it that said, "If we sacrifice freedom for security, we will have neither."? We're about there.

    Yep. As I said in a thread I started a year or two ago, the terrorists ALREADY HAVE won.
