Here's an interesting debate. In the future, could athletes and coaches at state schools be barred from deleting tweets, as part of FOIA protocol? It's interesting to think about.

    FOiA doesn't apply to states.

Yes, but several states have individual FOIA, or open records, laws.

Yes, they do. But calling it FOIA is inaccurate.

What part of these rules do you not get?

"1. Am I contributing to the discussion?
    2. Does anyone really care about the thread I'm about to start?
    3. Is the subject line clear enough to describe exactly what the subject is (please refrain from subjects that say "Oh wow!" or "This is cool".. give some detail)
    4. Have I checked or searched to make sure the thread I am starting has not already been started by another user?

Please do not just copy stories from the wire or other web sites and post them as a thread without a comment from yourself. By offering your comments or insight it offers some substance and direction on the topic."

Whew. I understand them's the rules, but I've been guilty of that last one a time or two myself. And it has led to discussion, so ...

I guess. I just have to wonder if that would have been posted if, say, IJAG or dooley had forgotten that rule.

The government can make no law depriving you of freedom of speech. Michigan or your boss can not grant a schollie or fire your ass for anything you say that offends or bugs then.

Just a sample of the kids tweets. You can see the rest here:

Sounds like the kid has been listening to Jay Z too much.

A real embarrassment for the vaunted Don Bosco program
