Quality fun at Hanover's branch of SAE.

No accident Animal House was loosely based on the Greek atmosphere at this campus:

I hate to advocate pervasive hazing, substance abuse and a sexual assault culture to anyone, but they've always worked for me.

SAE, Class of 1978 here. Can't really condone that. Yuck.

The issue here is not whether they broke a few rules, or took a few liberties with their female party guests. They did.

But you can't hold a whole fraternity responsible for the behavior of a few, sick twisted individuals. For if you do, then shouldn't we blame the whole fraternity system? And if the whole fraternity system is guilty, then isn't this an indictment of our educational institutions in general? Isn't this an indictment of our entire American society? Well, you can do whatever you want to them, but I'm not going to sit here and listen to you badmouth the United States of America.

Gee, I wonder if the commenters who took Lohse to task had any Greek connections.

It hit me about 15 seconds after reading it. Exceedingly well-played.

Yep. Awesome. Stand up, hold your hand over your heart, and hum.

    Speaking of great politically-correct movies of the 70s . . .

I took a class in college and spent the first day looking around the room, trying to figure out why it looked so familiar. Then it hit me -- it was the classroom they used to film that scene.

I also had at least 3 or 4 classes in the room where Donald Sutherland lectures about Milton.

Was he trying to say that being bad was more fun than being good?
