So I applied for the desk job in Abu Dhabi. Didn't get it, but now I'm intrigued at the prospect of working for an English-speaking paper overseas somewhere. Is there a good site that lists jobs like that? I'm afraid they wouldn't show up on journalismjobs.com, but maybe they do.

English-language newspaper, with several Americans brought in for key roles. I hired a US citizen who worked there for a year; she had a great experience and was one of the best reporters I've worked with in the last 5 years. I don't see them advertising for jobs and I don't know how you hook up with them, but there's a contact list with email addresses.

If I were unemployed, I would have considered Abu Dhabi. My worry is that working for a great English-speaking paper overseas wouldn't look as good as working for a (very good, 100K-plus circ.) paper in the U.S., when it comes to advancing my career.
