Excellent question. I do not have the answer, mainly because I'm still not entirely sure what a Bro is. But the Bros around the country sure have been getting a lot of attention lately.

What's the Venn Diagram overlap from 'hipster' to 'bro'? What happens when you overlay the population of young women who refer to one another as 'dude'?

For the broader point, I guess I have some hipster qualities. I got seriously into EDM overseas about 20 years ago when dance music here consisted of Miami Sound Machine and Stevie B, and now today's pop charts are practically a Belgian computer chip. Then there is my avatar.
