Jeez, had to laugh at this. Just what I was thinking.

And if you ain't seen Heathers, get that one next. A nice little masterpiece.

If you've only seen the TV version, you cannot yet claim to have seen it.

Son, fat, drunk, stupid and ignorant of "Animal House" is no way to go through life.

I caught the last part of it on USA Friday night, and was surprised at a couple of things they left in, things that I'd seen cut on other free-TV showings:

Mrs. Wormer after the car hit the grandstand: "You can take your thumb out of my ass anytime now, Carmine."

Greg Marmalard's end-of-the-movie legacy: "Raped in prison 1974."

My only problem with Animal House is that I expected college to actually be like that.

Thank God for the statute of limitations ...

  6. In 1985 I bought a brand new copy of The Adventures of Buckaroo Banzai Across the Eighth Dimension on VHS for the bargain price of $79.99 [$10.00 off the list price!]. I worked out a layaway arrangement with the guy that owned the video store and paid it off over the course of a month.

"Wherever you go, there you are."
    Another classic.

Some movies should be banned from censored TV... Ever since I saw Breakfast Club on NBC where Judd Nelson's tirade became something about "Eat my socks" and "Flip you!" I could not feel more strongly about this...
