For the first time I was able to watch Animal House

    This was the first movie I ever owned... Back when owning a VHS actually meant something, I think I spent $29.99 on it in the very early 1980s...

    Dude, I grew in an uber-Catholic household. It's like being raised as a veal in a box. A couple holes for sunlight, air, food and water.

    I was raised in a very Catholic family, which never stopped me from seeing it.

    I saw it was on USA today. Is that where you saw it? If so, I wonder if they cut much out.

    Animal House was the first R rated movie I saw. I had to call my parents to ask if it was ok to see it. Thankfully they said yes. It's my favorite movie and I've seen it hundreds of times.

    The fraternity I hung out in college was the Animal House of our campus. Good times...
