That opening sequence with the years passing by while Cartman was frozen and then showing him being part of the future society with the corny music in the background, was that a take-off of the opening for some old show, or did the South Parkl people make it up themselves. Thanks in advance for anyone who can shed some light on it.

I didn't see it, but A.I. comes to mind.

I too wondered what the opening was referencing.

As for the rest of the episode - it sucked! South Park is only good for about two chuckles per episode.

Do you mean A.I. the movie, or was there a TV show called A.I. as well?

I think at the end of A.I. (Spielberg movie), Haley Joel Osment is thawed out and awakens in a future world.

I thought Brandan Fraser and Pauly Shore were in that movie.

That's indeed what it sounds like.

Did anyone else think of the video game "Joust" as Cartman and the otters were riding around on the ostriches? Or was that just me?

Erin Gray was beautiful, Pamela Hensley was hot. There's a difference.

Eric called Cartman from the future after HE was frozen.

The episode opening was totally Buck Rogers. Show theme and all.
