Footloose: Remaking the ultimate '80s period piece

This could make a Law and Order episode.

Bunch of kids die in a car accident on the way home from a dance. Only ... the brake lines were cut. ... by a Baptist minister ... who wanted to impose his own beliefs on the rest of the town and ban dancing!

 

For those who don't know Julianne...

Looks like she's got the 80s fashion down! The bad news is this isn't from the movie.

 

And now to ruin it all for you ... She's "dating" Ryan Seacrest.

 

I read in EW that they are remaking every song from the original.

 

I am sorry but this looks like it is going to be another case of a bad remade movie. Why can't producers/directors be more creative instead of remaking movies this one and making it a trainwreck? Why butcher a good original movie? Kevin Bacon and Lori Singer were awesome in that movie. I know Julianne Hough can dance, but that won't be enough to sway me to go see this movie. I would rather watch the original movie on demand and save my money.

Just my personal opinion...

 

Add another W or two to your abbreviation, and you have my thoughts on this movie.

 

What a massive bucket of monkey fuck. The last time I puked this hard in a theater after seeing a trailer was Sex And The City 2.

Even more embarrassing is that the director, Craig Brewer, is doing this after helming Black Snake Moan and Hustle and Flow.

 

As Denzel said in Training Day, "Who wanna get paid?"

 

She looks like Jordan from Big Brother (minus the big rack) in that video.

As for me, I can't wait for the remake of "Snakes On A Plane"
