    Footloose meets Night Court.

    I like it.

    No, I LOVE it.

What does Step Up mean as far as a movie style? I have no idea of its existence.

Think Electric Bugaloo, but for the early 2000s.

I've seen the trailer twice in the theater and not only do I wish I could have those 4+ minutes back, but I wish I could get the image of the empty factory "rage dance" out of my head. It was horrible when Kevin Bacon did and inexcusable that it was remade. I think the original is #1 on my all-time list of movies I saw in the theater. Give me a break, I was in high school when it came out.

My big question: any homoerotic subtext this time?

The first one is one of the most vastly overrated movies of the 1980s.

Wow, I just watched the trailer. So a bunch of kids die in a car accident after a kegger and the response is to ban dancing? Don't worry about underage drinking, it's dancing that's evil. That wasn't the reason for the ban in the original, was it?

One part of the trailer reminded me of Brett's angry dance from Flight of the Conchords.

In the original, it was the Reverend's kid, I believe. In Purdy, Mo., whose ban is the basis of Footloose, it was just a Baptist thing

Who is gonna remake this song?

I have to admit, I kinda like that song.

Hey, if we can't have cameras in court, we certainly shouldn't have people dancing while the lawyers question witnesses!
