I am certain someone at Slate reads SportsJournalists.com. There are many articles on that site that appear right after discussion of a topic starts at SportsJournalists.com.

There is a reason why it is taking 17 minutes to get to the highlights -- NFL has mandated to NBC that it can't start showing highlights until 7:15, which they figure is hopefully when the last 4:15 game ends. The league has also told CBS and Fox to keep their postgames very short after the late games and to get out of NBC's way as soon as possible.

Unless it's two of the Viking cheerleaders doing a two-way, directed by Fred Smoot and his double-headed toy, there's no way I'm slogging thru 17 minutes of blah, blah to wait for a highlight.

  4. Yes, I certainly miss Boomer and his clever turns of phrase.
I'll give this one half a season.

You might have better luck with Panthers cheerleaders.
