I don't think most of these people have a clue what they like. They buy a bottle of wine just because there's a marketing card attached to the shelf that says some wine magazine they've never seen gave it a score of 93.

"foodie" might be the lamest word to come to prominence in the 21st century. it's cringeworthy and immediately makes me think less of anyone who uses it or god forbid self-designates themselves as such. whoever coined the term should be force-fed corn with a feeding tube for 12.5 days and then served as an accompaniment to steak.

I agree, but those cards work. Wine is strange because even mass produced wines can change a good amount from year to year. I know what I like in a wine, but I'm often flying blind even after reading reviews. That's why if I like something and I think the price is good, I load up.

I'm just having fun. I do like a strong beer, though, particularly imperial stouts.

I like wine, but it all tastes the same to me. And, studies show, to most people.

I typically try to just pick out the one with the highest alcohol content.

My favorite is all the "notes" wine and whiskey snobs claim to be able to taste.

I'm a whiskey drinker. Tastes like bourbon to me!

P.F. Chang's is pretty much the "Oriental" version of Olive Garden.
