Good luck out there. My buddy Chip Kelly will appreciate another top-notch journalist in the area. All the best.

Does this mean you're not coming to Seder next year? I will hunt you down and force-feed you horseradish.

    (Congratulations.)

Isn't that an airport in the D.C. area?

Thank you, sir. It was good to have you lurking on my blog in June. Maybe I can lure you in again, and who knows? Maybe one day we'll meet. I'll be a lot closer to you than I am now.

Thanks. I won't be terribly far from there, although I'll be closer to another Pac-10 school ...

Mostly watching. I won't be covering the conference on a regular basis. The only college in our circulation area is small. Really small. Rhode Island could beat the crap out of it in a war. I'm talking small.

(I love the chance to make a good "Arthur" reference in the morning.)

A lot more frequent flyer miles, to be sure.

You were at that game?? For real??

Thanks, ijag. What a virtual relationship we've had, eh?

Thanks, Ragu. I'm practicing on the cypress trees here in bayou country. I'm getting some strange looks.

Should I say it in a Cajun accent, to really throw them off? Thanks, Bat. Keep in touch.

I'd say they do. They saw thousands of them up close and personal last year when LSU played the Huskies to open the season.

But, I'll only be visiting Washington on occasion. I'll be living in another state.

Thanks, SixToe. I'm going to have to do that. Imagine them bringing a link or two to me. That would throw me a curveball.

    Packed it last night.

    Promise?? ;D

Ya know, if you cared more about your NIAFL team and less about your silly career, you'd be headed to the playoffs by now. 8)

Anyone who read through Katrina and the Waves knows what your homeland means to you...and everyone who followed the gut-wrenching nightmare with your former employer knows you deserve more than your share of good fortune and happiness.

All the best to one of the very best.

CONGRATULATIONS! ;D You will make a great sports editor, what with your ability to big-picture see.

The great thing is, you're not going anywhere-- you'll still be here.

Oh my gosh, what a change in climate!!!! I think it'll be great for you.

PM or e-mail me and give specifics, please! ;D

Congratulations....no more hurricane watches for you. Oregon's a great state to visit, I assume it's a great place to live, too.

I had a "She's Leaving Home" rewrite all set, but it was garbage.

Congratulations, Johnny. Good luck to you.

    JD,

Your advice was great when I visited your home state, so let me know if I can be of return service (Washington, not Oregon)!

Best of luck in your new role. You'll love it here.

Working my way through PMs ... please be patient, all who posted or PMd and asked for more details.

So much to do, so little time, especially for a first-time cross-country mover like moi. :)
