as John Sterling likes to say.

Today's game - Seattle with runners on 2nd and 3rd - 1 out . 7th inning Bettencourt at bat Wang on mound. Yankees down 3-2 . Obviously a big AB . Sterling announces that Jeter runs in to talk to Wong.

Waldman chimes in that Jeter will do that to remind Wang that it is a good time for a ground ball double play -

Sterling reminds Waldman that double play is almost impossible since there is not a runner on first.

That's the type of fine analysis that we get all year from Waldman.

Something feels wong with the spelling of Chin-Mein Wang's name.

Another reason why I can't listen to Yankees games on the radio.

When I was a kid, this fraud sang "Meet the Mets" for a jazzed-up, '80s version.

You could hear her warbling on the loudspeakers before every home game.

Because she can wave her Yankee pom-poms on the air from the broadcast booth where nobody can see her face.

My favorite announcing exchange was a few years ago and sadly I don't remember the announcing team.

Guy 1: Albert Pujols is on pace to hit 180 home runs this year.
Guy 2: And I'm on pace to live forever.
