My wife might not be able to fly ever again. She has to check two bags for an overnight trip.

Going for a three-week trip, there buddy? Hope you bought a bunch of those suits that roll up into Pringles cans.

  3. This extra money will undoubtedly go to providing better service.

They are also working on a new motto/tagline. I understand these are a few of the finalists.

    United Airlines
We'd love to fly if it wasn't for those damn passengers.

    Bend over.

And don't forget, they also charge you for bags over 50 lbs. So you can pay for the extra bag, or you can pay for the overweight bag ('take my wife, please!).

And that wife bears children, who travel with car seats and strollers.

Actually I would be curious to see if you're charged for those items, but it goes without saying that if you travel with the family, you're checking stuff.

  8. I believe the answer lies in deregulation and the power of the marketplace.

    I haven't checked a bag since the mid-90s.

Seriously, it's just a fricking hassle.

Man purse and a duffle bag, and I'm straight.

    Sorry, Fens . . . I remember regulation.

It took $440+ to go anywhere.

The people have voted . . . price trumps all . . . and so long as the broad public feels that way, this is the way it's gonna be.

Not fond of the current product. But what is, is.
