Flu shots

Just got one at work for $5.

The misinformation here is astounding. Like the recent panic over polio vaccines in some African countries, where people feared the program was a government plot, leading to completely preventable outbreaks of polio among children.

 

People, please.

Flu shots are the cover for the government drugging us so we spend a lot of money around Christmas.

Jeez, has Mr. X taught us NOTHING?

 

Because of my age (I turn 85 next week), I should get one.

But I don't and don't plan to--even though under the Great Socialist State of Canuckistan these shots cost me no loonies.

 

I try to get one. Uncle Sam usually gives me the needle each year.

Haven't had one this year.

 

A lot of people in Texas get it each month.

 

Got a flu shot once in college. Only a few weeks later ... I got the flu. Missed out on a kickin' party weekend, too. Later I was told that the flu shot is to prevent only one strain of the flu that is predicted for the winter - there are, allegedly, at least 100 different strains.
