You're buying the first round. And possibly the second.

Yes, the photograph prompted a chuckle here, too.

No need to apologize. Dude was an ass, as in the past. I liked your retort.

    My multiple sources say TimesDaily.

I hope you're not sending a resume there, wheateater.

I hear nothing but bad things about its Sports Editor. Sounds like all the guy does is play golf, pawn work off on his lowly minions and hang out in disreputable places like the Tilted Kilt.

His wingman on said trips to the kilt make him even more disreputable. He might as well go drinking with a thirsty turtle.

This actually opens up the issue of usage in the face of non-traditional typographical style.

Just because TimesDaily spells it that way itself doesn't make it correct when you're on the outside looking in. (Although the paper's Wiki page has it that way, which gives me pause. Most likely, they have done their own Wiki entry ... which needs updating, BTW.)

Ditto FOX, which is not an acronym like FBI and does not need to be spelled in all caps.

It seems like to me we always did the same thing at USA TODAY. Now that I'm not there, we revert to the normal form.

This was always an issue with our commercial clients when I was in PR. I especially recall that being a bugaboo with JELD-WEN, the window folks.

Capitalization is not the same as spelling. The space issue is a spelling issue.
