    I've had three definite, and possibly four concussions in my lifetime, my most recent one last month. I was knocked out cold playing basketball. I got a step on the guy covering me, went to the basket, got up in the air, and took a hit from the help side by a guy who used to play safety in college. I hit the floor head first. Spent the day in the hospital. It took me about three weeks to recover; this board has been a great friend the last month; all I could do for a while, without feeling dizzy, was sit at desk. I was OK enough to work relatively quickly, but I couldn't do any exercise, without getting nauseas, for about three weeks. It got better for a few days, and then started getting worse. So I saw a neurologist, who scared the shit out of me with tales of depression and memory loss.

    Had one true concussion, and don't EVER want to go through that again. Took a bad-hop baseball straight to the eye while playing first base in high school. Low line drive hit with an aluminum bat off an 85 mph fastball ... hit the lip of the grass and came straight up ... I didn't stand a chance.

    Migraine for a month -- not migraines, as in they popped up every day or couple of days, then went away before returning again -- I'm talking a 24/7 migraine for almost four weeks, without stop, before they finally receded.

    My head felt like it was being pounded by those gorillas in "Congo", every fucking minute of every fucking day. Excruciating.

    Been there, done that. And believe me, it's no picnic. I'm not bragging. Moddy, I do appreciate your concern but I'm really just not ready to stop playing yet. The spirit of the athlete still burns too hot within me.

    Nah (on the small type). Even after a self-imposed three-month layoff (or however long it was), I think Moddy still dials all but the last number to Webby every time he sees one of my posts.
