fishing tournaments a sport?

    I covered a walleye tournament once where the guy won like $25K two weeks after his house burned down. If anything, it's flexible. Got an outdoors page? Put it there. Works well in the A section, too.

    I'd normally challenge that, but it just occurred to me that we are talking about fishing, where that makes no difference anyway.

    Not quire like NASCAR; no boats crashing on the water. But thousands showing up for weigh ins.

    Fishing legend, angler, writer Homer Circle of Florida died Friday at the age of 97.

    This probably would be one of them most read items on your sites or papers. Very big story in the fishing world.
