    Get a plecostomus because they're uglier than youo and eat algae.

    Get a couple of clown loaches 'cause they've got bold stripes and eat snails.

    Get a bunch of male and female guppies because the males are pretty (not that there's anything wrong with that), they're cheapand they'll make lots of babies.

    Put real in real water plants 'cause they give the baby guppies a place to hide (They're born live, but the parents like to eat them.).

    Buy a basic aquarium book.

    Set up a freshwater tank instead of a salkwater one unless you're dreaming of going insane.

    Salmon is delicious if cooked correctly. A little lemon juice, garlic and thyme go a long way.

    I gave up on having a fish tank when all four of my six year old fish committed suicide within two weeks of one another. This thread makes the idea sound inviting, but I'm not sure if I'm up for the work again. Maybe I'll set it up after I get the living room rearranged.
