Between $4 and $5 million is a helluva range. (Sorry, we had an old newside copy editor who used to explode when somebody wrote that like that. Might be why he died six months after retiring.)

 

When I negotiated my last writing contract, I didn't want to budge from $5 million, and they didn't want to budge from $4 million. We eventually settled for $4.51 million, because I'm a fucking stud.

I think The Big Lead had an item up a few months back alleging that Pearl and a NFL quarterback had shared a mistress...

 

It's my understanding that one of the female managers who worked with the team when he was in Milwaukee moved to Knoxville when he took that job so that she could be Pearl's nanny.

The manager was smokin' hot.

 

Actually, she was the stat runner/SID intern at the games in Milwaukee. Her move to Tennessee raised some eyebrows.
