I haven't had issues with Firefox 3.0.x on the Mac.

I love Chrome, though I can't send e-mails from hotmail (I'm guessing that is hotmail's problem, since they went to that stupid Windows Live).

The nice thing about Chrome is when you open the browser it has your 10 most visited sites right there and you just click on the one you want.

I guess that feature could be bad if you are married and surf a lot of porn.

I'd check the extensions first, too. ... I run FF 3.0.4 at home and work on Win XP and rarely crash; maybe once or twice a month on each. I run maybe 10 extensions at home and about 15 at work, including several of the frequently unstable developers' extensions. And my work PC only has 512MB RAM, compared with 2GB on the bosses' PCs that they use for e-mail and browsing. Not that I am bitter.

And you ought to set yourself up with CrossLoop or LogMeIn. They allow someone to operate your PC remotely and troubleshoot without your having to do much of anything. I keep my daughter's laptop tuned up with LogMeIn while she's away at college, and I attempt to do the same with CrossLoop with a former colleague's PC halfway across the country (his is so bad that even with remote access, it'd take days to really clean it up).

Bob, if I get one of those, will you troubleshoot my comp?? :D

2much: I think I'm only running Adblock. Maybe BugMeNot, but I don't think so.

slappy: warranty doesn't cover water damage.

I have used Firefox almost exclusively for three years or longer. Suddenly, IE is much faster opening pages than Firefox is, especially on this site. I also can't seem to clean out personal history on the Firefox and do other housecleaning.

I use Chrome because my Firefox completely DIED on me. I was using version 3 and it just suddenly....stopped working on my desktop. Tried to revert back to 2.1.16 or whatever and then, it wouldn't open anymore. At all.

Got Chrome and I love it. Works better. If one tab crashes, you don't have to restart the entire browser, just the tab.
