Finding out you have a sibling

    Sounds like you have a pretty good idea why your mother kept her from you right there.

    I feel for you.

    I found out I have a half-brother. He was about 2 or 3 when Mom or Grandma (the dispute rages, but both are dead) dropped him on his head.

    They put him in an institution about 10 minutes north of where I was born and raised. I didn't know anything about him until adulthood.

    I now live about 7 hours from him and have often contemplated going to see him.

    For that matter, I've also been told that my dad father a couple of girls who would be half-sisters. Don't know anything about them, though.
