So I finally broke down and entered the 21st century, getting a digital cable box (still no PVR but still ...).

It means I have Detroit channels and I'll be able to see live shows really live, starting tonight with the Big Brother finale.

    I'm very excited!

Just you fuckers wait until the next season of American Idol and I can play along ... LIVE!

I remember the good ole days in Nova Scotia when we got the Bangor, Me., channels.

Can't remember the name of the fellow but he would introduce the 5 p.m. movies on NBC every night. He was awesome ... especially during Elvis Week (which I recall being at least once a month).

Julie's hair looks fantastic live. Very bouffant.

Oh my God, I'm watching BB10 finale on NTV ... that's Newfoundland TV. I'm giggling.

Because I live in the west and, Lord knows, the centre of the universe is out east.

Everything except sports is on tape delay.

NTV is the reason my wife made us switch to digital. You get shows two hours before it's on the other channels, which means if there's two shows you really can't miss, you can watch them both that night.

Granted, that's less of a problem once you've got a PVR, but I digress.

Oh, and I love NTV's ridiculous music video interludes and Captain Canada, who I could best describe as a Newfie Superman. Pure gold.

How long did it take you to realise that?
