I must have been in dinosaur mode. It didn't even occur to me that there would be a computer program for that. I somehow imagined someone working with colored pencils, a ruler and a lot of graph paper.

used to be like that. Now he arranges all the music in midi and can sync it up with the show to how it looks and sounds before he ever puts it in the field.

I'm sure that took a lot of work from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the heat of summer on a hot parking lot. Because every band kid I knew told me how hard they worked from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the heat of summer on a hot parking lot.

We weren't in a parking lot, but we did practice for 12 hours a day in the summer sun to go over the routine. Over. And over.

And over.
