    I went against Ice Box and had the 2-3-4 finishers in my exactas and trifectas. Only thing missing from a big payday was Drosselmeyer. Oh, well.

    His training in bar shoes freaked me. Always does. That freak has saved
    me a lot of money, but not Saturday.

    Drosselmeyer's time, 2:31.57, would have been forty-five (45) lengths behind Secretariat. :eek: :eek:

    Probably not that much of a gap, but I get your point.

    Nope, it WOULD have been that much of a gap.

    Twice A Prince, who finished second in Secretariat's Belmont, ran about 2:30.2. One second = six lengths.

    Forty-five lengths.

    The old racing adage is that 1 second equals five lengths, and in the final furlongs of a mile and a half it's probably less, but we agree that it's a hell of a long way between the 2010 group and Secretariat.
