Timothy McVeigh's motivation had nothing to do with Christianity.

If an abortion clinic bomber was, in fact, Christian, and acted out of some misguided Christian ideal, it's perfectly fair to mention that.

Al-Qaida exists solely to wage jihad. Jihad is a word solely rooted in the Islamic religion.

If we can be trusted to differentiate between regular Christians and abortion clinic bombers, why can't we be trusted to differentiate between regular Muslims and al-Qaida?

The simple answer is to just present the facts and not the sanitized version.

Because Christians are the vast, vast majority. Because for most Americans, the only Muslims they see are on TV.
And because there is a certain corner of American doing its best to make sure Muslim remains a dirty word.

I don't think you scrub all references to Islam from the video -- that would be absurd. But I think anyone involved with the film has to take into account that you have a lot of tourists coming in with preconceived notions about Muslims, and that their emotions may be raw as they visit a site that not long ago was merely the world's dullest office complex.

In a related story, the Kennedy museum in Dallas has a film that the Oswald family finds offensive. :D

I'm fully aware there's a large bloc out there that profits from the continued demonizing of Muslims -- or any other religion, really -- but scrubbing the truth out of history is NOT the way to combat it.

And Germans would like the Holocaust Museum to avoid any references
    to Germany

The KKK does not appreciate being associated with the Jewish Center shooter in Kansas.

    No, seriously, they don't:

    CNN:

    Can this KKK leader rebrand?

Pointy hats, white robes, crosses burning, bodies hanging from trees.

The images of the Ku Klux Klan are reminders of the nation's ugliest moments from the Civil War through the struggle for racial equality in the 1960s.

Last Sunday, the world was confronted with another image of the Klan: 73-year-old Frazier Glenn Cross, a white supremacist and avowed anti-Semite, in the back of a police car, spitting, "Heil Hitler!"

When his alleged rampage at two Jewish institutions in suburban Kansas City, Kansas, was over, three people were shot dead -- a teenage boy and his grandfather along with a woman who worked with visually impaired children.

The carnage was devastating to many. Imperial Wizard Frank Ancona was upset, too.

"What this guy just did set back everything I've been trying to do for years," said Ancona, who leads the Traditionalist American Knights of the Ku Klux Klan.

Does the KKK exist for any reason other than to be a hate group?

Answer that honestly and understand why it is a lousy comparison.

Or, as Toby Ziegler put it, "why do we have to take every Arab nation out for an ice cream cone?!!"
