I've got two $25 dollar gift cards to iTunes and a long vacation to Yellowstone starting this weekend.

My taste in music needs to expand. It's limited: Top-40 rock, classic rock. I'll pass on Kanye. I absorb what the radio feeds me, but I saw Scott Miller in person a few weeks ago and enjoyed his show.

Anybody care to expand my horizons and burn money off my card?

Thanks TSP: Eagles, Aerosmith, and get this... Evanescence. I checked my iPod and those are my most-played.

Are you a fan of industrial and/or synth-pop?

Try out some of this: The Yardbirds, The Byrds, David Bowie, The Band, Mott the Hoople, The Talking Heads, Incubus (particularly something off Make Yourself or Morning View), The Format, 3 Doors Down. I like Panic at the Disco's new album, if you like modern pop rock.

Joe Perry's son has a band called Tab the Band that has stuff on iTunes.

If you like Evanescence, you might like a band called Paramore. A bit more punky than Evanescence, but a great female lead singer with a strong voice. Also, a lot of people who like Evanescence recommend Lacuna Coil, another female-fronted hard rock band.

For a little bit older school, Garbage might work for you if you like Evanescence.

    Um... no

I'd throw the bear picture out right now but it's beyond that.

BostonBred and TSP have given VERY good suggestions.

I like their thinking. I like their music.

Please keep the good recommendations coming. (Dinner is about ready so I've got to go)

Thanks to all. Even Mikey ;)

I'm sorry, but I love this thread title: ...a free $25 bucks.

    Waylon Jennings.

If nothing else, his "I've Always Been Crazy" album. (My most favorite album of any genre ever.)

    Patsy Cline

"Copperhead Road" by Steve Earle (which I'll be downloading onto my Zune soon)
