3. He said the radar is accurate to plus or minus 3 mph. So can the fucking thing be tweaked to make passing cars faster than what they are? Kinda like a scale? My absolutely ignorant guess is yes, it can. If that's the case, I wasn't doing no fucking 41 mph.

The fine is $75. Believe it or not, I've got a sense of fairness about the issue. If I felt I made a $75 mistake, then I'd have no problem with it. If I felt I inadvertently endangered other drivers, I'd be fine with it. But I was the ONLY soul on the road. My (ample) gut feeling is that this fucker was bored and tired of sitting in his car on a lonely Wednesday night.

I've decided that if I can argue the ticket without incurring more money, I'm going to. No, I'm not hiring a lawyer. If $75 buys me the chance to chew on a judge's ear, I'm doing it Good Will Hunting style.

By now you either think I'm whiny or righteous. I just don't like it when people try to stick a $75 pole up my ass. So should I fork over the money, or stand tall before the bench, if the bench doesn't demand more dough?

Why did you slow down and pull over when the cop flashed his lights? That was your first mistake.

Be a man and floor the mother when you see the red and blues! Or, wait till he gets out of the car, and then floor it! They love it when you do that.

Anyone who pulls over when they see the cops is wimp sucker wuss.

My 03 Hyundai could outrun a Yugo, perhaps. But I believe those cop cars are a tad more powerful.

I don't know how many speeding tickets I've paid, but it's a lot. And my insurance has never went up because of them. Not once. Maybe I'm a lucky bastard, or maybe the "get a speeding ticket and your insurance rate will rise" is the boogeyman in the closet.

You might be surprised; the Crown Victorias aren't all that fast or quick. With Chargers, though, it's another story -- even the V6 Charger is faster and quicker than the Crown Vic, and you can imagine what the Hemi is like.

Prior to moving to the small town I live in I had driven for nine years and received no tickets.

In the 21 months I have lived in said small town: 4 tickets, and I don't drive any faster now

I just tell the police who I am and what I do. They usually tell me to have a good night and send me on my way.
