Although, one day I would like to train a smart dog to open the fridge, grab a beer and bring it back. Forget slippers and the paper: "Max, fetch me a beer."

One of my best friends in college had a dog that could do that. He spent a fortune training the lab for hunting and apparently the beer thing was among the many skills it mastered.

I actually have Tone Loc to thank for remembering it. He immortalized that dog in the lyrics to "Funky Cold Medina."
