In Oklahoma so I hear, there's a lot of moving people around when accusations come down. They can fight it or move on and have it never as part of their "confidential" record.

Took you less than 2 minutes to go from "this may deserve its own thread" to starting one? :D

"Rape by instrumentation?" I hope the bastard didn't use a tuba.

Oh, before the Poteau paper gets full of itself ... it got scooped by a day.

Oklahoma, and approximately 49 other states, plus the District of Columbia. That's how school districts tend to deal with these things, and part of the reason they keep happening.

So it is the National Education Association that's involved in imparting those "rights"?
    Figures.

In an indirect way. It's very difficult to get rid of a teacher, even if there's very good reason to, and a lot of that has to do with the union (there are also valid reasons why it should be difficult to fire teachers, but that's another topic entirely). School districts, rather than choosing to go through the lengthy and expensive process, choose to take the simpler route and just push the problem to another district.

    Poteau's probably not a 7 day paper.
