    Can't say I'm a huge fan of Bilas's writing style, but Donovan did deserve the beatdown.

    That's fine -- I like the sequencing, and the pacing -- but I really dislike columns which ask coaches to pay some kind of reparations, on principle.

    Packer loves to play judge-and-jury with other people's wallets, as well.

    An ACC thing?

    I wasn't there but heard second-hand that Feinstein was unhappy that a couple of ESPN PR flacks received the Katha Quinn Award. It's named for the St. John's SID who died of cancer about 20 years ago and goes to someone in that field who helps the media. That's what Feinstein chewed on Katz about. Other than that, unfortunately, I have no gory details. Wish I had been there, though.
