For those of you old enough to have gone through the smooth jazz period of the late '80s and early '90s, this song definitely fits.

    A truly wrong statement.

On the pop charts? Maybe. But anything but a one-hit wonder.

Listen to some of his stuff in the '80s. Listen to "Chase The Clouds Away," which was used with the 1976 Summer Olympics in Montreal ... or "Give It All You Got," which was used at the 1980 Winter Games in Lake Placid. Listen to the "Children of Sanchez" soundtrack, which he wrote in a hurry - i.e., given short notice that he was commissioned - yet pared down hours and hours of stuff into a 2-CD set. Released 30 albums.

Underrated. Not a one-hit wonder. But thanks for playing.

English pub rock from the 1970s seems right in my wheelhouse, even though I was like 9.
