I love this one, not because we played it in my high school band (though we did, and it's tons of fun to play) but because it always reminds me of Heckle and Jeckle.

You'll hear it about three minutes in.

Slow Ride - Foghat (preferably the version from Foghat Live)

    Also liked Inky's choice here:

Bathtub Gin would be another good Phish entry, I think.

The lyrics are certainly not happy, but it's hard to hear 'Sparkle' without feeling good:

"Waitin' On A Sunny Day," Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band. He usually uses it in concert to break up the funereal mood after a couple of his somber think pieces. Although the dragging-a-kid-onstage bit is getting a bit cliched.

"Out In The Street" is pretty much interchangeable.

"Here Comes The Sun" is pretty much the default Beatles answer.

    Wouldn't Cyndy Lauper's "She-Bop" be the ultimate "feel-good" song?

    "Sugar ... duh-duh-duh-duh, duh-duh ... aww! ... honey-honey!"

Get it in your head and get happy.

Awesome, although I'm partial to almost anything from the Stand Back album.

If we're talking Springsteen, I'm going with "Pink Cadillac." It's hard not to put the pedal on the floor if you're driving when that one comes on.
