Feds issue security bulletins on stadiums and hotels

    Unfortunately, 4,000 people had to die before those security measures were put in place to make airplane terrorism much less likely (not impossible, but greatly reducing the risk).

    Let's hope we don't have to experience something similar for stadium security to be improved to negate some of that risk as well.

    How do we know that several junior varsity swim meets haven't already been bombed?

    I mean, they never get any coverage even though they try just as hard.

    Because we haven't gotten any calls complaining that in our story about the bombing we neglected to mention that Little Johnny won the last event before the bomb went off.

    That guy turned to be a loner with no apparent terror connections. Either it was an accident or he wanted to go out in the splashiest way possible. Either way, it didn't appear fans were being targeted.

    I know the guy's background but the fact is he decided to detonate a bomb in or near a stadium during a game.

    That's no different than a guy opening fire in school then shooting himself when it's over.
