Federal student aid cut once again

It seems federal student aid is the first target of GOP lawmakers in budget deals. The time-limit on Pell Grants will hurt part-time students more than others. The crappy thing about the time limit is part-time students don't get the full Pell Grant award.

Of course. This is some kind of surprise?

But the good news in this is, it doesn't impact sons and daughters of congressional members....who also get the best health care in the land.

And the vast vast majority are rich enough to go to college no problem anyway.

Hey, they won't be Occupying Wall Street if they aren't saddled with thousands in student debt. Win/win!

Or, by mere coincidence, the sons and daughters of rich people in general.

Nor will it impact illegal aliens in California.

Illegal aliens have it so easy. Let's just let 'em die.

Until recently, we've had more money available for college aid than at any other time. Meanwhile, the cost of college is rapidly rising and degrees are becoming devalued. I don't think those are all coincidences.

    The world needs ditchdiggers too?

The GOP can go ahead and cut it...now that one of their own leaders has taken full advantage of student loans to send his kid to Vanderbilt.

Big government is bad, except for programs I take advantage of.
