Fed break up 7-11 immigration ring

    A total of 14 7-11 stores in New York and Virginia seized for immigration violations, and 40 more are under investigation. They also split profits with the parent company, so the Feds are seeking to seize $30 million as well.
    Almost all of the illegal immigrants were Pakistani.

    About 15 years ago a Mexican fast food chain in town was caught doing something similar. They were smuggling people across the border, putting them up in blocks of apartments, and paying them off the books to work in the restaurants. They were a bit sloppy -- apparently one of the 24-hour restaurants only had one employee on the books. Must have been a busy guy.
