    I'm torn. While I don't want Tennessee to win this weekend, I desperately want Alabama to be the team that delivers the kill shot to Fulmer's career. And the skids are nice and greased up in Knoxville.

    $7 million would buy a lot of boxes of Krispy Kreme

    Today's bizarre betting line;

    Oklahoma giving 20.5 to the Jayhawks.

    What makes it more bizarre is that Tech is giving the same number to ATM.

    Take KU and Tech.

    Second that. The Jayhawks ought to be giving 20.5 to the Sooners!

    That better be the Ham and Cheese saying that.

    I do think it will be closer than lots of people think it will.

    I'm tipping the bottle tonight, too much Dr Pepper. But I am hopeful for an upset, despite Oklahoma coming off a loss, because that was such an emotional game for them.

    Question from an always interested, but generally casual college football observer: How likely is it that the national championship game will be the Big 12 champ vs. the SEC champ?

    Depends how much they chew themselves up. BYU is hoping they all knock themselves off.

    Look at these Big 12 schedules the next 6 weeks;

    It's essentially a round-robin tournament.

    10/18; Kansas @ Oklahoma; Missouri @ Texas
    10/25; Texas Tech @ Kansas; Oklahoma St. @ Texas
    11/1; Texas @ Texas Tech
    11/8; Oklahoma St. @ Texas Tech
    11/15; Texas @ Kansas
    11/22; Texas Tech @ Oklahoma
    11/29; Kansas vs. Missouri (Arrowhead)
    11/29; Oklahoma @ Oklahoma St.

    Just from looking at the next 6 weeks, I'd say Texas Tech has the toughest schedule, considering they play Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma AND Oklahoma St. 4 top 15 teams in 5 weeks.

    They go 5-0, they're in the top 2 in the country.
