Everyone should hang 76 on Nebraska. Years of payback for Tom "I suspended Lawrence Phillips for a half for dragging his girlfriend down a flight of stairs" Osborn doing it to everyone else.

Auburn fired its OC today. The spread didn't last long on the plains.

Franklin fired as Auburn's offensive coordinator
    by Charles Goldberg, Birmingham News
    Wednesday October 08, 2008, 3:04 PM

Auburn offensive coordinator Tony Franklin was relieved of his duties Wednesday halfway through his first season of directing a spread offense that never caught fire.
Six games into the 2008 season, Auburn offensive coordinator Tony Franklin has been fired, effective immediately according to a school official.

Head coach Tommy Tuberville will meet with his team at 3:30 to tell them of the dismissal.

Tuberville said he will take a bigger role in plotting the course of the offense. Tuberville said he'll decide in the next day or so who will call the plays in Saturday's game against Arkansas.

If Auburn-Arkansas was any more of a pending train wreck, Casey Jones would do the coinflip.

Stevie Wonder could call the plays for Auburn and they'd still be Arkansas by three touchdowns.

"Auburn's offense is worse than the economy." — Vandy student sign from last Saturday.

    Funny and accurate.

One of the sports talk shows yesterday did a great mashup of the radio calls from the AU-Vandy game, spliced in with John Goodman berating his team in "Revenge of the Nerds."
