Probably. Though it's also a sign of Cincinnati's decline. It was 12-7 at halftime.

I'd like a gig covering Notre Dame football in a couple of years.

They'll be playing Navy in Dublin's new stadium and that would be one sweet ass road trip.

    I think Arkansas outscores Alabama.

Didn't Case go to Permian? Feel like he started the year after Bissinger was there.

If that happens Penn State fans will be trying to figure out if there is any way to make Al Golden their new head coach before he gets on the bus back to Philly.

As a percentage of newspapers still around by then, that's pretty good.

Wilson has been legit for two-plus years. But a serviceable running game and receivers who can actually catch help any quarterback's cause.

We'll find out how well the defense plays assignment football. Ga. Tech this weekend, and Va. Tech the next. Fun test - even in the ACC.

Fair points, Sam. He's definitely gotten better, though, over the past two-plus years. That's what I was getting at; that this could be his breakout year. Because of his improvent and because of a better supporting cast.

I don't see it. I get the feeling Mallett will light up Alabama's young secondary if he has the chance, but I believe Alabama's running game will grind the Hogs' soft-ass defense into dust and keep Mallett off the field.
