    Not to bust your bubble, X-man, but ...

    * Since 2002 (inclusive), Oregon has finished 8th, 3rd, 5th, 2nd, 5th and 4th in the Pac-10 and is 1-4 in its last five bowls. That's hardly building a national resume.

    * Fresno State hasn't won a WAC championship since 1993, and has never won an outright WAC title. Again, Fresno has sme nice wins, but can't even win its own conference so it's hard to consider them being close to a national power.
