Touche. I saw a commercial during the Derby for SportsCenter promising footage so I just assumed.

    From AP:

“Them moving on does not bother me,” Favre said. “It doesn’t. I totally understand that. By me retiring March 3, I knew that could possibly happen. All I was saying is, you know, I’m thinking about playing again.”

Seriously? You "retire" and think that, possibly, the team will move on and not count on having you back next year? Possibly?

Man I didn't think it was possible for this guy to sound like a bigger douche.

    Wrong.

Brett, go the fuck away. Moron.

He does. We were supposed to go see them July 22. Asshole backed out.

    Typical.

I now renounce my Tesla fandom as a result.

Give it until Thursday. He'll think seriously about going and then decide that, no, he'll stay home. But I'd be waiting to hear back from him on the 19th or so asking to go. He'll probably understand that you may have given the ticket to someone else. That's a possibility, sure. But he's thinking about going again.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who read that and said, "Say WHAT? Did that make sense to anyone else?"

In other news, I'd like him to stfu and go retire already. Got the itch? Play a game of pick up with the others who have left the league and didn't get picked up to become an announcer.

He wanted them to give him until training camp to make up his mind.

I agree, he came across like a colossal douche.

I agree that he looked bad. But what would be wrong with giving him a long time to make up his mind?

I get so tired of football coaches and GMs who act like this is rocket science and Favre missing all of the OTAs and minicamps is going to set the team back. Really? Then why would it be no problem for a team like the Vikings to acquire him right before training camp? Does that make any sense?

As I've said before, the Packers' brass needed to look at this without emotion and decide -- coming of a 13-3 season, an overtime loss in the NFC championship game, having nearly everybody back but having an unproven starting quarterback -- what or who gives them the best chance to win this year. If it's Rodgers, they need to come out and say that. If not, they have to consider bringing Favre back.

I'm sure the guy thought he was rallying the troops by telling his side of the story, but he just comes across as an even bigger whinier bitch, if you ask me. And I know you're asking me, BYH. ;) Sorry, Brett, that Thompson didn't let you do his job.

And Kato, this franchise has had the same QB for 16 years and needs to know whether it must move on with a new QB or can count on their all-time great coming back, and you think it's too much to ask him to have his mind made up by the draft? Come on.

Besides, it's not just purely about deadlines. It's also about, "I'm retired. No, wait, I want to play again. No, I'm definitely retired. No, no, I take that back. I've got the itch!"
