    Good for him.

As a Niner fan back in the day, I hated to see him on the field.

    Now, it's even more impressive.

Not exactly the most pressing of the world's problems, but I am weary of the perpetually retiring, un-retiring, retiring athlete. I like Favre and think he's great for the sport, but shit.

It was a nice piece of theatre when Bowie retired Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars at that concert in London in 1973. But athletes should just retire or not and quit the waffling.

Has Favre ever actually, you know, retired?

No, he's never made that announcement, but the constant speculation is about two years old at this point.

    And who's fault is that?

    Prince Adam?

I'm not interested in deciding who's to blame for the two years of on-again, off-again Favre retirement stories. I'm just tired of hearing about it. That is all. If you think I shouldn't be tired of hearing about it, go right ahead.

EDIT: According to King of All Media, it's been 5-7 years of ambiguity.

And for those of you who might reference this in your publications/online presence, we're the Sun Herald, no hyphen.

I think it's pretty cool Favre gives exclusives to the hometown paper. Especially if he took the time to conduct a phoner during a playoff week (don't see a Green Bay dateline so I assumed it was a phoner).
