I have to say, Seinfeld at its best (Kramer's pinky toe story, "The Contest," "Is anyone here a marine biologist") was better than Simpsons at its best.

    But. . . .
    Homer at the Bat
The Treehouse of Horror with "The Raven"
the one where Bart tries to jump Springfield Gorge on his skateboard ("Kid, I got three things to tell you, bones heal, chicks dig scars, and the United States of America has the best doctor to daredevil ratio in the world")

I still crack up during the sequence where the helicopter picks up Homer, he gets put in the ambulance, the ambulance drives 10 feet, hits a tree, Homer rolls out and back down into the gorge.

Seinfeld was a show I watched regularly for a while then grew tired of the characters. Simpsons episodes often hold up for repeated viewing.

I love the one when the mom loses the car gambling at the Indian Casino. The dad pretends to be an Indian to get the car back but has to prove he's an Indian so he goes on a vision quest with his son, who he pays little attention to anyway. The Fonz speaks to him and says he needs to spend more time and pay more attention to his boy, so they end up getting the car back.

"A Streetcar Named Marge," especially for its shoutouts to "The Birds" and Alfred Hitchcock ... in the Maggie-centric subplot.

    Couple more to mention.

Behind the Laughter (this may be the best episode)

    Who Shot Mr. Burns?

My favorite is Matt Groening's least favorite.

Agree with both plus Who Shot Mr. Burns part II. I love Homer at the Bat.
Love how the Springfield PD pins every murder in the NYC on Steve Sax. Isn't that right Saxy-boy. Plus Lisa nad Bart chanting Dar-yl to the Straw in right field as he wipes away a tear.

My favorite scene was in the first year of the show.

The entire family goes to a therapist, who wires them up and sits them around in a circle. Each is given a remote and can select a button to shock one of the others if they feel hurt by something that is said.

Before you know it, they all start shocking each other so much that the electricity in Springfield blacks out.

That episode was panned a bit because Homer says some things that are not consistent with how the show's characters played out over the years (like, Homer said something that sounded like he knew he needed to be a
    responsible parent).

But for one scene, that's my favorite. Hell, even Maggie was shocking and being shocked.

Hey, I found the clip on a Russian version of youtube called rutube:
